WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Project Girl Code is designed to help you understand relational bullying from the inside out. Over the course of these lessons, you will learn how bullying can happen without a single physical interaction—and how exclusion, gossip, manipulation, rumors, social pressure, and online behavior can affect a person's confidence, relationships, and sense of belonging. More importantly, you will learn how to recognize these behaviors when they happen around you and how to recognize the moments when your own choices may contribute to an unhealthy relationship dynamic.
You will begin by understanding the hidden side of bullying and discovering why relational bullying can be so difficult to recognize. You will learn how seemingly small actions can create significant emotional consequences and how to distinguish everyday friendship conflict from repeated patterns of harmful behavior.
From there, you will learn to look in the mirror. You will explore the different roles we can play in relational bullying—as the person experiencing it, the person witnessing it, or the person participating in it. You will examine your own words, choices, relationships, and influence while learning that self-reflection is not about shame. It is about becoming aware of the impact you have on the people around you.
Finally, you will learn that recognition alone isn't enough. You will be challenged to take accountability for your choices, understand the difference between intention and impact, apologize meaningfully, repair relationships when possible, and make healthier choices moving forward. You will discover what it means to move from being a bystander to becoming an upstander—someone who chooses courage over silence and inclusion over exclusion.
Most importantly, Project Girl Code will empower you to recognize that you have influence. Your words can change the atmosphere of a room. Your choices can determine whether someone feels included or invisible. Your willingness to speak up can give someone else the courage to do the same.
By the end of this workshop, you won't simply know what relational bullying is. You will know how to recognize it, reflect on your own role, take accountability, respond with courage, and lead a culture where people don't have to tear one another down to belong.
You will learn to:
SEE IT — Recognize relational bullying and understand its hidden impact.
REFLECT — Examine your own relationships, choices, and influence.
OWN IT — Take accountability for your actions without shame.
CHANGE IT — Practice healthier communication, friendship, and conflict resolution.
STAND UP — Learn how to safely respond when you see someone being excluded or mistreated.
LEAD IT — Use your voice and influence to create a culture of belonging.
Because Project Girl Code is more than raising awareness. It's a promise to be better, to ourselves and each other.
