Meet Zoe
After experiencing the devastating and lasting effects of relational bullying when Zoe was just 13, she never thought that such a great obstacle would become her purpose. Rather than letting the harsh actions and words of the girls who were supposed to be her friends break her, she used them to drive her passion for empowering young women just like her to stand up and stand out. Through the promise Zoe and her best friend made as their pact to always be the friend they both always needed, and to never let the other feel alone in what they are facing, she was ready to make a change and founded Project Girl Code.
“ I am ready to leave a lasting impact with every girl I meet, being the friend I always needed that empowers you to show up and reach for the extraordinary, and not just settle for being ordinary".
Now as Miss West Virginia’s Teen, she is ready to take this promise and spread it nationwide. Being a small-town girl from Appalachia, she knows how hard it is to fit in when you’re the girl who only knows how to dream big, in a place that wants to keep you small because it’s “safe”.
Utilizing the platform she has been given, she is working to empower girls just like her to lead with kindness, reach for their stars, and empower each other to rise together, because when girls work together, there isn’t anything they can’t do.
“Awareness is resilience, and my goal is to help young girls thrive no matter how big the dream or difficult the obstacle”.
Because when girls choose connection, celebrate her, rise together, and own their worth, they become undeniable, unstoppable, and unshakable.

Project Girl Code is on a mission 〰️
By rewriting the narrative of girlhood, we promise to empower the young women of tomorrow to reach for more together.
With our four pillars as the foundation for all we do, these qualities are the basis for all that we do.
-
Every day girls are told that the person standing next to them is their competition. We have been taught that friendships cannot come in the way of our futures, and that to achieve we must tear down. Well we are here to break that mold. Connections last for a lifetime, friendships build our support systems, and villages raise eachother up. Together we can accomplish everything; and the accomplishments that mean the most are the ones we achieve together.
-
When we cheer eachother on, we build trust, and lead eachother to a better tomorrow. Celebrate her is about choosing to be honest, kind, open, and real. True leaders empower eachother, they don’t tear eachother down. Empowered girls empower the world around them. And together we can be empowered to lead with purpose.
-
You are worthy of incredible things, but more importantly you are worthy of kindness, respect, and genuine friendship. When you own your worth, nothing can drag you down. When you own your worth you know that you are the only person that can effect it is you. When you own your worth you know that when the people around you are empowered it doesn’t lessen your worth but only increases it.
-
When you choose connection, Empower Her, and Own Your Worth, the door is opened to rise together. One of these pillars cannot exist without the other, and when young women rise together, their bond is unbreakable, and their trajectory is unstopable.
